Stanley August - Shelburne

Stanley August, 93, passed away on June, 5, 2010, at his home at The Lodges at Shelburne Bay, Shelburne. He was born in New York City on Nov. 8, 1916, son of Frank and Sophie (Lipsky) August and married Mary Lukacovic on Jan. 24, 1948. He graduated from NYU and had a long career as a CPA and Tax Specialist for The Exxon Corporation. He lived in Scotch Plains, N.J. for most of his life and was active in Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church. Although he moved to Vermont in 2006 to be closer to family, he never gave up on his beloved Giants and Mets. He is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Mary; his daughter Kathye Boll and son-in-law Tom; his grandchildren, Megan Boll LaRose and husband Jon; Lindsay Boll; Griffin Boll; and Courtney Palmer; his great-grandchildren, Maxwell and Penelope LaRose; his sister Mary Edwards; and several nieces and nephews.
