Furchgott gallery's 18th annual summer group show opens July 9
Furchgott Sourdiffe Gallery in Shelburne will be showing "Montage: the 18th Annual Summer Group Show" from July 9 - August 10. The featured artist in the exhibit is David Maille of New Haven, along with 15 other artists. Maille creates evocative landscapes using the grain in the wood panels that are the base for his paintings and part of the composition. He then skillfully applies gold leaf for highlights which give a subtle and unique elegance to the finished work.
In addition to Maille, the other artists in the exhibit are Bonnie Acker, Elizabeth Allen, Adam DeVarney, Jeri Lynn Eisenberg, Janet Fredericks, Byron Geigel, Hal Mayforth, Janet Mckenzie, Beth Pearson, Joseph Salerno, Roger Sandes, Dianne Shullenberger, Brian Sweetland, Polly Thompson, and David Utiger.
The gallery is known for its eclectic mix of over 40 emerging and established artists working in various media. Furchgott Sourdiffe also does museum quality custom framing and has an extensive collection of jewelry, accessories, crafts and affordable gifts. Restoration services include conservation of frames, objects, paintings, and works on paper.
