Theater Camp returns to Shelburne
Shelburne Players and Shelburne Parks and Recreation Department have once again joined together to hold their annual Summer Musical Theatre Camp for children ages 10 to 13. The camp will be held from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m, Monday-Friday, during the week of August 2 - 6. A performance of "Macbeth, the Musical Comedy" on the final day of the camp will be held at the Shelburne Town Center stage at 3 p.m. This short but entertaining production is free and open to the public.
During the week of theatre camp, participants will be rehearsing, painting the set, and making simple costumes for this light-hearted spin on Shakespeare's famous play. Camp director Tim Maynes and music director Nate Venet are returning again this year and are joined by choreographer Julia DiFerdinando. There are still openings available for this year's camp, which costs $210 for Shelburne residents and $220 for non-residents. Limited scholarships are available.
