Three Shelburne teens in performance of "13" at Flynnspace

Tony Award-winning play on stage July 22-25

Performed by 19 local teens, the Flynn Center presents "13," featuring Jason Robert Brown's Tony Award-winning score. Shelburne residents Cole Guerriere, Rosemary Moore, and Lucia Llona join an all-teenager cast in celebrating the triumphs and challenges of the teen years, as told through the life of Evan Goldman, whose world is crumbling beneath his feet. His parents get divorced and he's forced to leave New York City for small-town (and ultra-lame) Indiana. Evan just wants to make friends, survive his Bar Mitzvah, and figure out what it means to be a man - but trying to get in with the cool crowd is easier said than done! Evan and his classmates have to learn the hard way that nobody's perfect, including themselves, and that growing up means learning to define the world on your own terms, cool or not.

The production is on stage at the FlynnSpace July 22-24 at 7:30 p.m., with matinee shows Friday, July 23 through Sunday, July 25 at 3 p.m.
