Shelburne's 11/12 All Star Little League Team was in attendance at Tuesday night's Selectboard meeting to hear the reading of the Selectboard Resolution honoring their designation as Vermont State Champions. Selectboard members then vacated their seats to allow the team to sit at the front of the room with board members and team coaches standing behind them.

For those of you who did not get an opportunity to see the 11/12 All Star team play in person or on TV, you surely missed out. This group of talented young athletes competed with the best in New England and came back with their heads held high. Bill Supple, Scott Ireland, and Geoff Hesslink deserve a lot of credit not only for coaching these young players but also for the countless hours of practice throughout the years. These young athletes came into Little League as 9 and 10-year-olds thinking they were good; they left as 12-year-old All Stars knowing they were good. Congratulations and good luck moving on to the the next level.
