Hunt/Bassant

Joanna Hunt, daughter of Douglas and Estelle Hunt of Shelburne, and Robin Bassant, son of Subash and Kamini Bassant of Vacoas, Mauritius, were united in marriage on July 30, 2011. Rick Bessette officiated the lakeside double-ring ceremony at the Coach Barn of Shelburne Farms where the reception was also held.

Alyssa Hunt, sister of the bride, was the maid of honor. Laura Blair was the bridesmaid and the flower girls were Emma and Cara Edgely. Alvin Bassant, brother of the groom, was the best man. The groomsman was Robert Freed. 
Mrs. Bassant graduated from Champlain Union Valley High School and the State University of New York Binghamton with a degree in psychology. She is a manager in the Global Banking and Brokerage division of FactSet Research Systems in San Mateo, Calif. Her husband received his degree in computer engineering from the State University of New York Binghamton. He is a network engineer for Hewlett Packard in Mountain View, Calif.
The couple resides in Mountain View, Calif.
