You may have noticed in last Thursday's Shelburne News, an invitation to participate in a survey Shelburne Farms is currently doing. This letter is a reminder of the invitation and a further explanation of why we are seeking the opinions of our Shelburne neighbors.

This year is our 40th anniversary as a nonprofit, and while some have commented that the fortieth is not usually a time for celebrations, we do think that it is a good time to look back over four decades of growth while providing some useful information as we chart the course for the organization as we head toward our fiftieth.

We have posted the survey online at https://www.surveymonkey.com/s/ShelburneFarms, and if you don't have access to a computer, please call us at 985-8686 and we can ask the questions and record your responses.

Also Saturday is the WinterFest at Shelburne Farms from noon to 3 p.m. and there will be a table there where you can answer the survey's questions.

And as an added incentive, everyone who responds to the survey before Feb. 10, will have their name entered in a drawing for an overnight stay and dinner for two at the Inn at Shelburne Farms.
