There were no mosquitoes, bunk beds, or s'mores in sight. Instead, there were mixing bowls, blueberries, and butter by the pound. "Baking Camp" week was the brainchild of Shelburne resident Heather Friedrichsen who opened her doors to ten 4th-6th grade "campers" for a culinary adventure.

It's spring cleanup time for all of us at home — and at the Vermont Fish and Wildlife Green Mountain Conservation Camps. Volunteers play a vital role each year by helping Fish and Wildlife staff do spring cleanup and work projects at the Buck Lake and Edward Kehoe Conservation Camps.

Michael Mauss built Windswept over 30 years ago. He had worked on the property when it was a dairy farm. After the dairy farm burnt down, he purchased the property and built Windswept. About 13 years later, Tina came along, and the pair has continued their coupled passion for horses to the present time. The farm is a full boarding and leasing facility with an indoor and outdoor arena and offers lessons on a regular basis and camps in the summer.
